![]() ![]() Many expected to see those two characters back in the fray within a few days of their removal. Why the delay? Truth be told, the Overwatch 2 team still hasn’t provided an official answer to that question. Bastion, meanwhile, still cannot be selected in any of Overwatch 2‘s multiplayer game modes. He is not currently available for Competitive play. At present, you are only able to play Torbjörn in Overwatch 2‘s Quick Play mode. Speaking of which… Overwatch 2: When Are Bastion and Torbjörn Returning to the Game?Īt this time, there is no word on when Bastion and Torbjörn will be fully-reinstated to Overwatch 2‘s roster. That debate has only become more interesting the longer that both heroes remain removed from (or limited in) the game’s various modes. We know they were not working as intended, but there is some debate regarding the extent of their exact issues. However, Blizzard hasn’t yet confirmed which bugs were affecting those characters as of the time of this writing. The most popular theory at the moment is that Torbjörn’s Overload ability (which boosts his attack power, health, speed, and reload time) was lasting twice as long as intended. ![]() The Torbjörn situation is a bit stranger. Some footage of “pre-removal” Bastion suggests that certain exploits allowed players to fire dozens of shells rather than the intended three shells. Bastion’s Ultimate ability (Configuration: Artillery) was allowing players to fire many more artillery shells than intended. Specifically, it seems that Bastion and Torbjörn were both significantly more powerful than intended due to bugs that were affecting some of their key abilities. □️ Bastion will be unavailable in all modes during this time, while Torbjörn will still be playable in Quick Play. It’d be like stepping into LEGO Land for the first time.Bastion and Torbjörn will be taking a quick trip to the workshop while we iron out a few bugs in their ability kits! Honestly, I’d like to see a LEGO variant remake of an entire map. It actually resembles the building blocks down to the individual pieces. ![]() The in-game skin has a bright quality that you rarely see in other hero cosmetics. The Bastion model was in the original lineup, and is still available today. It’s nice to finally see the LEGO sets depicted in game. And don’t be fooled by people putting “Drops Enabled” in their Twitch stream titles. You’ll need to make sure you have your Blizzard account linked to Twitch to receive the rewards though. These rewards include Widowmaker, Tracer, D.Va, Hanzo, and Genji cosmetics. You can visit the blog post for the full list of who to watch, but all you need to know is that if you watch one of the partnered streamers for six total hours, you’ll get even more sprays and icons. ![]() Similar to the D.Va Nano Cola challenge that started this all, there’s more rewards tied to watching Twitch streamers as well. At three wins you’ll get a couple of Bastion icons, and at six wins you’ll get Pharah and Mercy sprays. But there’s more stuff to earn than the skin. Once you get all of those victories, the skin will be added to your list - making it something pretty easy to obtain if you simply play the game before September 30. To grab the colorful new Brick Bastion skin you have to win nine games in Competitive, Quick Play, or Arcade. The event is stuffed with LEGO icons and sprays that you can earn pretty easily in the game and outside of it. In what is now the fourth Overwatch Legendary skin challenge event, you’ll be able to earn a slew of cosmetic items including a brand new LEGO-themed Bastion skin. ![]()
